This will allow the forward facing spotlights on small mirrors or towing mirrors (if equipped) to operate while the vehicle is in drive. The factory control will still operate as designed while in park, however this will allow the spot lights to be manually commanded in any gear by pressing and holding the spot light button (including reverse, neutral, and drive). From the factory, the lights can only be commanded in park, however, this will override that.

The installation is very easy and takes less than 5 minutes while following our installation video. This kit works on the smaller mirrors as well as the towing mirrors. This kit is intended for off-road use only.

How long does this take to install?

This is very easy to install and takes less than 10 minutes to install.

Will my intellibeam still work properly?

Yes, if your truck has intellibeam (automatic high beams) it will still function properly.

Will the spot lights still operate properly when in park?

Yes, you will still retain all factory control of the spotlights while in park as long as the high beams are not activated. (including controlling each side individually with the OEM switch)

Works Great

This is pretty easy to install and it works great. The only thing I can think of that could be improved is the clicking noise when going from high beams to low. It is much louder than the regular click and when using Intellibeam, it can become kind of annoying.

I ended up getting another form of aftermarket tow mirrors, but when I hit my spot light it turns on the yellow clearance light on my new tow mirror. Since the new mirrors don't have the front spot light, can I buy this wire and modify the switch so it just stays on when the vehicle is on so I can have the clearance lights stay on most of the time? If so, is there an easy way to keep the button pushed in or wired hot? Thanks Wayne 6087979999

The products you have listed are indeed compatible with each other! You may be required to tap to the same wire for multiple mods per the installation videos. If this is the case, please ensure the taps along the same wire are spaced one inch apart.

This mod allows you to temporarily activate the front spot lights by holding the spot light button regardless of whether the vehicle is in gear and will work with low beams or high beams.

Yes. To do that you would want the auto fogs mod and the spot in drive mod. You would need to hold the spot light button while in drive. Alternatively you can do the high beam to spot mod and the mirror lights would trigger with the high beams.

The high beams will not turn the spot lights off. This mod requires that you press and hold the spot light button, so as long as you are holding the spot light button with the high beams on the mirror spot lights will remain on. If you're wanting the mirror spot lights to be enabled with the high beams automatically you'll want to check out our high beam to spot mod. enables the spot lights to be turned on with a button press and hold when the vehicle is in drive. If you would like to have the spotlight automatically illuminate with the high beams we would recommend the high beam to spot mod. For the spot in drive you do have to press and hold. If you do not want to press and hold you may want to check out our high beam to spot mod. With that mod the spot lights will stay on any time the high beams are on (and you don't need to hold a button down).
